Seven Dials Studio Lauren in Lisbon
Seven Dials Studio is, well, me.

I'm Lauren. Visual Merchandiser by trade, self-taught calligrapher and all round queen of wonky DIY projects. Just kidding. Most of my shelving is straight. And what I want is to fill the world with beautiful things. Well, not just beautiful things, but beautiful meaningful things. Things created with care and time and attention,  using skills and techniques developed over years, decades and lifetimes.

I’ve been in love with paper forever - from those early days chewing books, through the years of conning my mum into buying me new supplies each term, all the way to a career I mostly fell into, but which couldn’t have made more sense. After almost a decade in visual merchandising, and a good long time doing my own things on the side, 2020 happened. Feeling there would never be a "right" time to get things moving, I decided to just jump.

Seven Dials represents my two homes - I'm a London girl at heart, and spent much of my working life around Seven Dials (as well as too much time in LGC stocking up on pens!). Then, in the way that life sometimes happens before you realise it, I ended up in sunny Brighton living in, you guessed it, Seven Dials. It felt fitting to pay tribute to both - the place where it all started and the place where it all (really!) started.

In the time since, I have turned my hand to numerous projects and commissions, including artworks for private clients, signage and assets for businesses, and even helping to open a stationery shop here on the South Coast. Working with individuals, collaborating with small businesses and other creatives to craft something purposeful and unique is what Seven Dials Studio is all about.
