Okay, here's the thing, I really dislike Valentines Day. I basically don't acknowledge it and still owe a boyfriend an apology over the vitriol he received for sending me a singing card one year. But really, it sang...I thought I was pretty restrained. But I've mellowed out a little, and being in this business, well, a big chunk of my work is romantically inclined and although I won't admit it too often for fear of ruining my macho street cred, it really is lovely to see people's joy and love for each other and get to be a little part of that . So I've pulled together five of my favourite love themed, valentines day appropriate quotes, that have a little more weight behind them than some of the mush out there!

I find the best quotes are the ones that just perfectly say what you need them to...I mean, what else is there to add here?

This quote right here is #relationshipgoals to me. Screw the shiny things and overdramatic gestures, give me bed, laughter and maybe some pancakes and we're good.

So I included this one anyway because I kind of like it. Around the internet it seems to be attributed to Oscar Wilde but I can find no reference anywhere to Wilde ever having said such a thing, and he was a pretty prolific and documented quote-ist (not sure that's a word, but it should be). Oscar or not, it's a good line.
